Roadtrip Out West | Los Angeles, CA

Well, friends. Our roadtrip out west blogs continue with our California adventures. YES, finally! We adventured so much in Cali, that I’ll be separating all that goodness into different blogs based on location/events.

As you have likely already discovered on previous blogs (including Brian’s How-To), we did alot of camping on our roadtrip. But, when we rolled through the LA area, we were lucky enough to have a super sweet cousin to stay with.

Convenient for us, there were perfectly healthy breakfast options nearby. Donuts for the win.

After we indulged ourselves in donuts, we stopped by the Burbank Farmer’s Market (I’m sure it has a much fancier name, but I can’t remember everything, you guys) for some fresh fruits and veggies to fill our cooler. Now, what I’m about to say might shock you. Don’t hate. I mean, I know Georgia is the peach state and all, but I have never in my life tasted peaches so yummy as the ones we purchased that morning in Burbank. Karis, we’re coming back for more peaches! And I guess we’ll see you too. 🙂

Twas a foggy day for Hollywood sign viewing, but that didn’t stop the Buffs. Party on!Processed with VSCOcam with k1 preset Processed with VSCOcam with k1 preset Processed with VSCOcam with k1 preset Processed with VSCOcam with k1 preset

This is Karis, our absolutely gorgeous hostess. She showed us around and made us coffee and drove us up to Griffith Observatory for a little science lesson and some pretty beautiful views.

This gem right here. The El Capitan Theatre. You guys, it was such a fun movie experience! Planes: Fire and Rescue is engrained in my children’s minds. I mean, it was a good movie, but the experience of the theatre really took things up a notch.

Before the movie began, this guy played some fun music on the organ. Then of course, when he was finished, he was lowered down into the stage in pure epic glory.

We didn’t tell the kids about this part of the show beforehand. We love surprised faces, so anytime we can see those faces, it’s a total win. Before the movie, there was a short Mickey & Friends sing-a-long show. Y’ALL. The Beach Party was such a hit! Songs, dancing, characters running down the aisles, beach balls bouncing everywhere. Happy faces all around.

Um, also. The movie was 3D. How fun is that?!

After the movie, there are tons of props and games and such to get your hands on downstairs. Looks like the Buffster had a good time.
